Arijus Keras (AIF): Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic

First of all, the communication with the CVUT Erasmus coordinator and administration is clear, quick and understandable. Second, the lecturers are supportive, attentive, and willing to help. The lecturers are also specialists in their fields, professors. Some of them have come from other countries to teach Erasmus students. Overall, all information related to Erasmus is easily accessible and available.

I highly recommend participating in the first week of the semester organized by ESN. You get introduced to the ESN organization, its members, the Czech Republic, the university, all the activities, opportunities, and so on. At the Masaryk dormitory, which has a pub, various events took place every week: dancing, cultural evenings, beer pong, quizzes, board game nights, beer with your buddy. It's definitely worth joining—it's a great way to meet other Erasmus students. Also, together with my roommates, we went hiking in Czech nature every other weekend. Mountains, cliffs—something incredible.

The city of Prague is very touristy, with lots of must-see places such as Prague Castle, Petřín Tower, Charles Bridge (its just couple of places to must see). Other facts: very tasty and cheap beer—Czechia ranks first in beer consumption per person per year for a reason. The climbing gyms are top level, including that you can get beer there :D. It’s recommended to apply for a buddy (curator). You must try the local food, for example: Svíčková. The nightlife is something else—on weekends the city is full of people/young people.
