From the very beginning, the orientation program was excellent, allowing us to connect with many new friends and settle in comfortably. The International Relations Office was always available to answer our questions, making it easy to organize the upcoming semester. Vilnius offers countless opportunities to stay active, whether it's paddle tennis, running a half-marathon, or joining university-sponsored recreational activities. One of our favorite routines was exploring the city’s diverse cafés—there are so many that we could visit a new one almost every day! Vilnius is also a city full of vibrant public celebrations, such as Independence Day and the famous Pink Soup Festival, which bring people together and make student life even more exciting.

Another great aspect is the accessibility of nature—you’re never far from a green space, whether it's for a quick escape to go swimming or a day spent hiking in the beautiful surroundings. Beyond Vilnius, the city's location makes it a great starting point for exploring other destinations. Weekend trips to Klaipėda and the Baltic Sea, as well as visits to neighboring Baltic states and even Scandinavia—Stockholm and Helsinki, for example—were all easily accessible. Winters can be long and cold, stretching into spring, but once summer arrives, there are plenty of outdoor activities, including vibrant bars and social spaces. One standout spot is Plus Plus Plus, the ultimate meeting place for Erasmus students—no matter when you go, you're bound to run into someone you know! Academically, the university is manageable and not overly demanding, leaving plenty of time to embrace the Erasmus lifestyle and enjoy free moments. My experience in Vilnius has been unforgettable, offering the perfect balance of study, adventure, and connection.
