Tsaturyan Liza (FMF): University of Almeria, Spain

This expirience have changed my life. Everything was perfect and it shaped me the way I am today. The university was very responsive and helpful. All the courses were well thought and taught me real life skills.

I want to start my summary of the Erasmus+ exchange program with this sentence.  This was a life-changing experience.  I could never believe that this opportunity would have such a big impact on my life.  While living and studying in Spain for two semesters, I have gained a huge personal growth. Since childhood, I have dreamed of living near the sea and I couldn’t even imagine that I could accomplish it this soon in my 20s. Waking up every day, looking from my balcony, and seeing the sea and people slowly drinking their coffee in the cafe made my life so full.  During my Erasmus, I met so many good friends with whom we share the same interests and are on the same page in our lives. We taught each other many things, lived together, studied together, did grocery shopping together, cried and laughed together.  During my experience, I understood that a person can fall in love not only with people but a city. Because I experienced it. Almeria; the city which is sunny 360 days per year got my heart. Everything in that city made me happy and fulfilled with my life.  The ESN Almeria did their best. We have very great trips with them, exploring the secret  beaches, mini Hollywood and several cities.  Last but not least I want to talk about the study experience.  I took interesting subjects so I was very into studying. All the professors were nice. And most of the subjects were project-based (PBL) which was very beneficial for me. I did a good project in Web development. We had a real-time project with one German clothing brand for whom my team did a whole rebranding, Figma prototyping, and created a new website for them and published it online. It was a very large but useful project.    In my UI/UX course, I did a Figma design for an intelligent parking app. In my Multimedia technologies course, I did scientific analysis and wrote reports for them.  In the Cryptography course, we created a program to encode and decode pictures using different algorithms.  And from IT integration in Business, I studied ERP modules and how to do the integration process.  All the courses were really useful and I really gained a lot of new skills, experience, and practice.  Everything was perfect in my experience of Erasmus. I will always be grateful for this experience where I pursued my dream and had personal and career growth at the same time.
