Nerilė Vainoriūtė - Faculty of Architecture - University of Florence, Italy

I really enjoyed the receiving university - the lectures were very interesting, and I had no problems with the English language or with joining the courses I wanted to take. There were a few delays in the process, but that is probably just part of the local culture. Overall, I did miss having more interaction with local students, since Erasmus participants were mostly placed in separate classes, so we mainly worked within international groups. Still, it was an amazing experience to study, work, and connect with so many different people from all around the world.

It was the most amazing experience to live abroad for an extended time, meet so many different people from all around the world, and of course connect with the locals. Studying at a university in another country was incredibly interesting as well, working with students from different backgrounds and sharing our experiences from home. The best part of Erasmus was joining the city’s Erasmus organizations right from the very beginning. They organize so many different activities - affordable day and weekend trips, all kinds of sports, and evening events. Through these activities, I formed my closest group of friends, with whom I spent a lot of time after that. Erasmus is truly an amazing way to get to know the world, other people, and even yourself a little better.
